Houston has a few more days of rainy and muggy weather before getting a real taste of fall this weekend.

The region will see scattered rain and warm weather Thursday into Friday, but by Friday night, lows will dip into the 50s and stay there for the remainder of the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday will bring a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. It could be the last time Houston has a 90-degree day of 2021, according to Eric Berger of Space City Weather.

Saturday will be glorious, with sunny skies, highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Sunday will be partly cloudy with the same temperatures; a high hear 76 and a low around 56.

The cold front will only last for the weekend, unfortunately, as temps will pick back up early next week with highs in the 80s.

Enjoy that cold front while you can, Houston.
